Born in Italy and raised in Brazil, Michela Panero started her career in 1980s New York, where she lived for eleven years. She then continued training in Milan with several design houses. A number of multicultural influences shape Rosantica's aesthetic such as American impressionism and Brazil's music, colours and overall love of life. The label's inspirations also go further afield; fascinated by the Antiquity era, the designer feeds her imagination with Greek and Roman sculptures, engravings of divinities and vestals as well as artistic avant-garde styles at the start of the twentieth century to highlight refined and timeless femininity.
