Ideal Oud eau de parfum is a frank dialogue between oud and rose. Here, the master perfumer becomes the arbiter of the exchange between two raw materials that everything opposes, strength and delicacy, shadow and light. To tame the power and complexity of oud, master perfumer Alberto Morillas uses a duo of roses, Bulgarian rose and centifolia rose. The oud takes on the allure of a dark, mysterious flower, enhanced by a spicy hint of pepper and saffron. The woody, leathery character of the fragrance is enhanced by papyrus wood and labdanum. The oud marking this fragrance is neither heady nor animalic, but rather balanced and nuanced like a silk satin that caresses the skin.
