Clarins Precious Beauty

Founded in 1954 by Jacques Courtin, Clarins has grown to become one of the most reputable French beauty empires. Opening his first beauty institute on Paris' Rue Tronchet, this entrepreneur with a passion for biology made his dream of marrying beauty and science a reality. But it didn't happen overnight. Indeed, it would take twenty years and the arrival of his son Christian in 1974 before the label would begin to harvest the fruits of this familial labor. Long-beloved for its 100% pure plant extracts, under the new duo's partnership they began to ship worldwide to over 130 countries. Innovations and new products began to pick up the pace, and in 1991, Clarins launched its first cosmetics line. Success would come roaring in one year later, with the brand's inauguration in the world of Thierry Mugler Couture. By creating Mugler Parfums, the Clarins group broke ground with Mugler on the cult-favorite fragrance, Angel. It was a runaway success — the juice revolutionized the world of perfume and served as inspiration for the group that, a few years later, would buy Azzaro Parfums. The two enterprises would go to L'Oréal in 2020. Since 1994, Clarins has been at the forefront of skincare and the number 1 high-end label in Europe. The innovations never cease, and in 2002 Clarins Men was born, followed in 2019 by My Clarins, a vegan line dedicated to children's fragile skin. Still today, at the spa or at home, these products are known for their fine quality and composition rich in natural active ingredients.
