      A treasure trove of the coolest labels, over the last few years Scandinavia has singlehandedly inspired a new energy in the fashion world thanks to names like Ganni, Baum, Pferdgarten, Aeron, and of course, Rotate. Founded in 2018, the label quickly established itself as one of the leading players in a revival of feminine, colorful styles. It was in 2014 that Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars crossed paths, both working as journalists at Costume magazine. Passionate about fashion, they rapidly identified what was missing on a market that left something to be desired in terms of tailored looks for special events. The concept? To dream up a wardrobe that was both festive and original, and that could be worn just as easily at a wedding or a New Year's Eve party. In 2018, they teamed up with Denise Christensen, CEO of Birger Christensen, and the rest is recent history. Named in honor of the cyclical nature of fashion trends, the brand offers us feminine essentials in unexpected cuts — mini-skirts, plunging necklines, and high buttoned collars — made from the most unique materials — lamé, sequins, floral prints, Swiss cotton, and more. The public's response to the aesthetic — at once disco-inspired and furiously modern — was overwhelming. Getting ready to go out has truly never been so much fun.
