The third idea eventually came to fruition when they found a space in the south of the city where they could sell a range of their favourite brands and vintage clothing. A few years later, the pair began producing their own pieces, under the name of Deadwood. Since Felix studied sustainable development, and Carl was conscious of responsible consumption, they were prompted to consider environmental issues within their business. The leather jackets, the label's flagship item, are made from leather scraps, old leather rescued from tanneries, and repurposed vintage clothing. The lining is made from recycled plastic bottles. The antithesis of fast fashion, Deadwood reinvents the way we approach style by updating its collections twice a year and creating timeless silhouettes that can be worn for years to come. The lifestyle brand, helping to save the planet is also appealing to rebellious souls; Iggy Pop, the Godfather of Punk asked the duo to design a bespoke jacket for him.
