Coperni
Architectural and futurist, the Coperni style has been conquering hearts since 2013. It's a growing success that started with an iconic pair: Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer. It was during their studies, at the desks of the prestigious MOD'ART International in Paris, that the duo dreamed up and launched Coperni, as an homage to the brilliant scientist Nicolas Copernic. Its success was dazzling and its clean, avant-garde aesthetics found unanimous approval among fashion enthusiast. From it launch, Sébastien took the reins of design while Arnaud managed marketing. Their contemporary style was soon compared to the designs of Yohji Yamamoto, Martin Margiela and Helmut Lang. Quickly, Coperni won the ANDAM "Premières Collections" prize in 2014 and finished as finalist for the 2015 LVMH prize beside Craig Green, Vilgil Abloh, Simon Porte Jacquemus and Demna Gvasalia. The destiny of the founders swayed when maison Courrèges, a real icon of the 60s and 70s, saw its end and Coperni underwrote its big comeback. Loyal to its DNA that perfectly reflects French chic, the brand surprised, reinventing basics. The 2019 Autumn-Winter collection revealed skirts as well as clean-cut, bold jackets. It was also the birth of the already famous oval-shaped Swipe bag, directly inspired by Apple's unlock key. Attracted by technology and the modern world, the label organized its 2020 fashion show at Station F in Paris. Baptised "World Wide Web", the collection was an homage to woman 2.0, with tops printed with lines of code. Resolutely turned toward tomorrow and careful to offer designs in a contemporary mood, during the global pandemic, Coperni revealed its "Ready to care" collection, which highlighted a revolutionary fabric, called C+, made of lightweight, UV-blocking, hydrating, antibacterial jersey. It showed the urgency of taking care.
