Enter the magical world of Aurélie Bidermann, filled with talismans and charm-like jewellery. Her pieces will whisk you away to the romantic streets of Paris, the Amalfi coast and the sun-kissed beaches of Brazil... This journey through the senses is part of the brand's DNA. Bidermann owed this passion for exploring the world to her parents, who would take her with them to discover new countries. As art collectors, they also encouraged the young designer to find her own path, as did her grandmother, who had a passion for fine jewellery. Bidermann studied art history and trained in gemmology in Antwerp before enrolling at a jewellery school in Paris. She designed her very first collection during a three-months stay in India, and her friends couldn't get enough of her grigri bracelets. In 2005, the designs were spotted by Sarah Andelman and Colette, the concept store, became the brand's first stockist before opening its own boutique.
Now, the magic happens in a Parisian atelier in the famous Place Vendôme. Using traditional jewellery techniques, each piece is polished, set and hammered by hand using natural stones carefully selected for their shine. Earrings, bracelets and rings are adorned with ocean-green emeralds, pink rubies evoking tropical flowers and ancient symbols like beetles, snakes and mimosas. Poetic and luxurious, Aurélie Bidermann jewellery is to be truly treasured, adding a radiant touch to any look. The label's signature models include The Do Brasil bracelet, the Copacabana necklace, the feather pendant and the Épis de blé bangle; fine pieces that accentuate femininity. Beautifully captured in her Spring-Summer 2020 collection, filled with summery ornaments in the shape of shells, starfish and the sun. We can also admire pieces made with vintage lace, mother of pearl, freshwater pearls, and a range of vibrant colours.
