Originally from Galicia, a region in the north of Spain, Laura Villasenin had a dream: to reinvent footwear. At the age of 14, she visited England for the first time, falling in love with the magical ambiance of London, and decided to attend the London College of Fashion. In 2010, she launched her own women's shoe brand, Miista, known for being responsible and quirky. Assisted by her brother Pablo on the sales side, she defined her visual identity: colourful, extravagant, original and trendy. As designer and creative director, reconnecting with her Spanish origins was essential. All of Miista's pieces are designed in London and their production is based in Spain. The shoes are designed by hand, using high quality Italian leathers and textiles, as well as recycled materials like natural raffia. The Anglo-Spanish brand, bright and audacious, stands out for its playful volumes and flattering shapes, drawing the attention of the Spanish singer Rosalia, who has worn Miista shoes. For Autumn-Winter 2021, designer Laura Villasenin launched her first women's ready-to-wear line, with details like lace, oversized fits, satin and bright colour predominating the collection, recalling the brand's Spanish origins. mong its best-sellers are the Flabia and Carlota models, square-heeled boots, and the Synthia, elegant leather mules.
