Renowned in the world of architecture, the designer has been bringing us a selection of luxury womenswear essentials for several seasons. Although initially destined for a career in acting, the designer-to-be changed direction to study philosophy followed by psychology. Her studies deemed useful today, particularly in understanding her client's preferences. Her career as we know it today began, when she joined her mother's, Sabine Marchal, interior architectural business.
For four years, she learned the ins & outs of the trade alongside her mother as well as François Schmidt. When she launched her own design business, Maison Sarah Lavoine in 2002, she knew exactly how to proceed. Her relaxed, refined yet understated and colourful style rapidly gained popularity. Increasingly prestigious collaborations followed one after the other, including Maison Jars, Bonton and La Redoute. The stylist made a name for herself in the exclusive world of interior design.
In 2014, she ventured into clothing design with a capsule collection for the Swildens label. It took four more years for her first Sarah Lavoine clothing collection to launch in 2018. After presenting a cashmere range, the designer finally released a collection made up of chic, Parisian-style essentials, featuring black tuxedo jackets (and white pendants) exclusive jeans, sensual and coloured shirt designs as well as some gold pieces for big nights out.
