Founded by Yann Weber, Antidote's story began in 2010 with a biannual magazine. Training as a stylist and gaining experience at Express Style as a Creative and Fashion Director, then later at Elle France as a Creative Director, Yann Weber launched Antidote to unite his love of literature, photography and fashion. The magazine, aimed at culture and art enthusiasts, stands out for its original editorial content imbued with a strong identity. Over the years, the glossy magazine became a global brand, creating a website, podcasts, conferences and evening events open to the public. The next logical step for the multi-faceted founder was to design a clothing line that he debuted in 2018. Conveying the label's core values based around environmental issues, respect for animal rights and total inclusiveness, Antidote's collections are divided into three pillars: Studio, Care and Merch. The first is defined by its high-end contemporary aesthetic, the second is created from recycled, vintage and unsold clothing, while the final pillar features casual pieces printed with engaging messages, inspired by topics covered in the press publication. The brand's collections often touch upon veganism, gender fluidity, upcycling and "see now, buy now" through gender-neutral sweatshirts, joggers and baseball caps bearing slogans such as "Global Warning," "Earth Insurance" and "Pride". Its fluorescent green leggings and pink shorts are also sure to give any wardrobe a lift. Several collaborations are also building the brand's growing recognition. Antidote has joined forces with some of the leading names in luxury and avant-garde design, from Y/Project to Xander Zhou as well as Belgian designer Mats Rombaut, renowned for his vegan shoes.
