Established under the creative impetus of Michela Panero in 2009, this initially little-known brand was soon invited to red-carpet events and into the dressing rooms of celebrity fashionistas and influencers such as Jennifer Lawrence, Dua Lipa, Beyoncé and Kourtney Kardashian. The secret for this success lies in the founder's passion for craftsmanship and precious stones, a world she discovered in her youth thanks to her nanny's brother who at that time, was working in a mineral mine. Born in Italy and raised in Brazil, Michela Panero started her career in 1980s New York, where she lived for eleven years. She then continued training in Milan with several design houses. A number of multicultural influences shape Rosantica's aesthetic such as American impressionism and Brazil's music, colours and overall love of life. The label's inspirations also go further afield; fascinated by the Antiquity era, the designer feeds her imagination with Greek and Roman sculptures, engravings of divinities and vestals as well as artistic avant-garde styles at the start of the twentieth century to highlight refined and timeless femininity. Her muse? Frida Kahlo. Panero believes her unique beauty and elegance, in addition to her open spirit and sensitivity to the vicissitudes of her life, make her a true role model.
From all her diverse references come glamorous, statement jewellery collections. Pieces are crafted entirely by hand, using natural materials, crystals, pearls, bone and feathers in keeping with Italian tradition.
