Founded in 2013, Monsieur Barbier is the French expert in hair and shaving products and beauty care for men. The Better Shave shaving soap is a good example. Packaged in a metal case, this product is a tribute to old-fashioned shaving with its use of a shaving brush. Formulated with 97.97% natural ingredients, it contains arnica, cypress and ginger extracts. With a fresh and subtle fragrance, it is a must-have for an optimal shave.


  • Using a shaving brush is not so complicated:
    1 - Prepare your shaving brush: Soak your shaving brush in warm water, then wring it out by gently squeezing it in your fist, or by shaking it downwards.
    2 - Lather: Rub your shaving brush over your shaving soap in fairly strong circular motions until you get a foam.
    3 - Apply the shaving brush: Spread the foam on well-prepared skin (using a warm water towel or Prepa Shave lotion) using your shaving brush, always in small circular motions, moving up from the neck to the cheeks to massage the skin and lift the hair before shaving.
    4 - Finish: For the finishing touch, smooth the foam out with a few slow horizontal brush strokes along the face.
    That's everything you need for a perfect shave!
