Maison Fabre

The story of Maison Fabre is one of fashion and family, founded in 1924 by Etienne Fabre. A former policeman, at forty years old, he embarked on the journey of glove making: a successful professional turning point. The brand, in just a few years, acquired great notoriety and by 1928, the small company in Millau had already expanded. Cutters and stitchers, working tirelessly and all eager to contribute the prosperity and success of the business, had occupied the three floors of the family home. When a new generation of the Fabre family, that of Denis and his wife Rose came on board, new pieces for Parisian fashion houses were created. After the Second World War, the couple also expanded its activities and moved its factory to the heart of Millau, present till this day. Their son Louis opened the first boutique, in 1978, also in Millau: a 150 square meters space showcasing the know-how and creations of the brand, which up until this point worked exclusively for other designers.The 1990s and 2000s brought in a new passionate Fabre generation, led by Jean-Marc and his brother Olivier. On the agenda: renovation of the initial glove store and opening of the first Parisian boutique in 2008. Today, at nearly one hundred years old, the company continues to draw loyal customers and offers quality products, rooted in tradition and craftsmanship.
