Eshvi Women
Although Eshvi is a London-based jewellery label, the brand's story began much further afield, in Georgia. A fusion between Tamar Svanidze and Natia Chkhartishvili's aesthetics, sisters-in-laws, both passionate about jewellery. Eshvi offers colourful feminine pieces, perfect to enhance any look. The word 'Eshvi' meaning 'canine' in Georgian, also means good luck, evidently a recurring presence within the brand's collections.
Although Tamar studied at London's Central Saint Martins, her partner, Natia, started off by taking accessory design classes and began her career working with brands such as Naf Naf, Kookaï and Chevignon. She soon realised that she wanted to achieve more and went back to school to study Buying and Merchandising at Central Saint Martins. In London, she got involved in the business and designed the brand's first jewellery creations. After a first collection, presented at Tranoï, the label started to make a name for itself.
The brand gained popularity, featuring on magazine covers, in editorials and built a celebrity following (including Kendall Jenner, Maisie Williams and Katy Perry). So, did its philosophy. Far from being content with being just a jewellery label, Eshvi is leading a movement and a concept in the art of living. Its ethos? Happiness. Celebrate it, feel it, but above all, seek it out by wearing its most fabulous pieces. Far from instructing its clientele on how to wear the label's jewellery designs, it prefers to let them explore their creativity. Mix and match, accumulation... Everything works from the moment you express your inner self. Moreover, the label emphasizes that its designs are not produced with a particular Eshvi woman in mind. Designs are created with all women in mind, delighting in appealing to a diverse audience. A new era for jewellery.
