It all began under the Indonesian sun and coconut trees. Clarisse Virot, mother and world traveller, fell desperately in love with the bohemian lifestyle she found on the island of Bali. Passionate about trendy, colourful style, she decided to, one day, create her very own bag, the bag of her dreams. In 2014, she gave life to her imagination, with the Charly, an all-terrain handbag named after her daughter. Her ambition pushed her to create her eponymous brand Claris Virot along with business partner Jean-Christophe Ankaoua. Over the years, this leather accessories brand has grown between French elegance and Indonesian charm, its original inspiration. In partnership with workshops in Bali for production, Clarisse Virot founded her brand with committed values and its own identity: practical pieces for the everyday, made for women, by women, accented with pretty colours, and fabricated with to Balinese craftsmanship. From the Chris or Lily to be worn over the shoulder, the Mina handbag, the Romeo for your waist, or the oversized Roger, you'll find the bag for you. For a selection of quality materials, the French designer first turned to exotic skins like python, lizard or crocodile, which are available in limited quantities due to strict quotas. More and more, Clarisse has focused on resistance and durability, using vegetable-tanned leathers and traditional weaving. Over the last few years, the brand has set itself apart by offering other products like shoes, glasses, headphone cases and even a jacket available in several colours. Claris Virot is not done growing. With accessible prices combining quality materials, sophisticated cuts and infinite bohemian appeal, Claris Virot is an intergenerational brand that speaks to all women, adapting to their daily lives, habits and desires, offering them elegance, style and above all, comfort.
