Herno Men

Born in Italy right after the Second World War, the brand Herno began by harnessing state-of-the-art technologies to design elegant, durable coats, jackets and parka. In 1948, Giuseppe Marenzi, at just 24 years old, freshly returned from military service, dived into functional, relaxed fashion. Along with his wife Alessandra Diana, he decided to launch his own outerwear brand. Inspired by his experience in a waterproofing company, the young Italian designed technical garments that were durable and resistant to the storms and winds typical of the northern Italian climate. Environmentally inclined, they acquired their own factory in Lesa, in a valley near the Erno river, which served as a natural source of energy for production. Herno made a name for itself in the ready-to-wear industry, notably through its iconic puffy coats. The classic down Herno coat is known for its laser cuts, its ultra-sons seams and its 200 grams of pure nylon.
