      Didriksons
It all began at sea. In 1910, after the tragic loss of several fishermen relatives due to clothing that was ill-adapted to the weather, Julius and Hanna Didrikson committed themselves to protecting the profession at any cost. In 1913, the couple inaugurated their ready-to-wear brand, Didriksons, as well as their factory, Didriksons Regnklädesfabrik, near their native city of Grundsund, on the west coast of Sweden. From the start, Julius and Hanna conducted many tests, treating their pieces with different kinds of oils to find optimal waterproofness. Over the years, they achieved excellence: functional clothing that can stand up to wetness, wind, and cold. Didriksons clothing keeps wearers dry and comfortable all day long, even over a long time. Parkas, puffy coats, coats, jackets, trenches and vests - each item is useful, modern, hybrid and for the whole family, with collections for men, women and children. Beyond their commitment to the sea, Julius and Hanna built a brand anchored in the land, with an ecological and environmental consciousness. The products, designed without toxic substances, feature a recyclable, durable fabric called Sorona, as well as vegan fabrics for their warm jackets. At Didriksons, the coats are divided into three temperature categories: extra warm with extra insulation to battle the cold for hours, like the Nomi, Fay and Stella; insulated for Fall-Winter, like the Jennie, Erika or Frida; and then lighter windbreakers without insulation, like the Widana, Ilma or Edith. Each jacket responds to the needs of its wearer, across the brand's three lifestyle categories: Business, Freedom and Explore. The brand's products and materials are selected at its headquarters in Borås, Sweden, and then the clothes are fabricated in workshops in Europe. The Scandinavian brand features inclusive sizing, with options from 32 to 52, favouring a palette of natural colours like beige, brown, khaki and taupe. In 2023, the brand celebrated 110 years of history, a lovely story that continues to make its mark on the Swedish and international markets.
