Dr. Hauschka was born of the expertise of Austrian duo Elisabeth Sigmund and Rudolf Hauschka. In 1967, after meeting, they founded their 100% natural skincare brand. Making products without alcoholic preservatives and based on natural essential oils, the duo worked with beauty industry professionals to produce their line in Eckwälden, in Germany. In 1999, the company entered a new era, conceptualising a complete range of natural makeup, using ethical, sustainable mineral pigments. Just like their skincare products, over 500 natural ingredients are used, including medicinal plants, plant-derived oils and waxes as well as essential oils. Currently, over 80% of the brand's raw natural ingredients are organic, favouring biodynamic production.
