Since the creation of his brand, Marcel Rochas has never ceased to liberate the woman's body with his three-quarter coats and square shoulders. In 1934, he revealed his iconic "Bird-dress" inspired by the artists of his time, and in 1936, the first Rochas perfumes were born: Audace, Air Jeune and Matignon. In 1944, he dedicated the perfume Femme to his wife and muse, Hélène. And that's when the Société des Parfums Marcel Rochas saw the light of day. Moustache, in 1949, was his first fragrance line for men. In 1953, Marcel dedicated himself fully to his perfumes. The perfume Madame Rochas was released in 1960. Ten years later, Eau de Rochas (then known as Eau de Roche) was launched, seducing the young hippies of the generation. In the early 70s, Hélène Rochas gave up Parfums Rochas. Upon her death in 2011, she left behind a life surrounded by artists like Françoise Sagan, Yves Saint Laurent and Andy Warhol. In March 2021, Maison Rochas unveiled Girl. As its name suggests, this fragrance (which exists in several versions today) is an homage to femininity and to eternal youth. Infinitely respectful of the body and of nature, it's made primarily from naturally-derived ingredients. It's a fresh, contemporary fragrance, perfectly in tune with the times.
