Beloved by beauty connoisseurs the world over, skin and haircare products in solid form have become toiletry must-haves. Easy to use and eco-friendly, plenty of them also possess impressive nourishing, hydrating, and calming properties. Founded by Franco-Swiss duo Alban Mayne and Svante Holm, Beauty Disrupted has made solid beauty products their calling card. After working in technology for nearly twenty years, the pair left the domain to focus on developing a line that wasn't just ethically made and sustainable, but also offered real cosmetic benefits. It was an ambitious aim, but their goal was to disrupt the industry with the arrival of a zero-plastic label offering solid skin- and hair-care that was just as effective and indulgent as its high-end liquid counterparts. After two years of research and development, numerous meetings and consultations with artisans, botanists, perfumers, and beauty experts, the brand was born. Products are designed in Stockholm and produced in the South of France, where the natural and organic scents are exclusively made in Grasse, the capital of perfume. Upon its launch, the label offered nine shampoos specially formulated for normal, dry, and oily hair, along with three conditioners, three unisex shaving creams, and hand and body soaps — all, of course, in solid form, and free of plastic packaging. Dermatologist-tested, Beauty Disrupted's products are all produced using renewable energy sources, and come in three collections: Amaazonian Amour, Alpine Glow, and Ocean Magic, using ingredients and fragrances that are truly a delight for the senses. The hair-care is perfect for traveling as well as use at home, and the hand-soaps with camelina oil are super-moisturizing even with frequent use. This is one clean, green label that follows through, from ingredient lists to packaging choices. All Beauty Disrupted products are free of parabens, silicones, alcohol, as well as being Cruelty Free and Vegan. Another point worth noting: each bar contains the same amount of product as two 250ml plastic bottles. The label also donates 20% of its revenue to non-profit organizations that work to protect the planet from climate change, and is in the process of receiving its B-corp certification. This is one budget- and climate-friendly choice you'll feel good about, day after day.
